Wedding transportation for the bride, groom, and
wedding party will be something that a couple will have to tackle before the
wedding. There needs to be a definite decision on whether or not the couple will
be responsible for transporting the parents of the bride and groom as well as
the wedding party to and from the wedding and the reception hall.
There are a couple options when it comes to
wedding transportation. The couple can require that the bridal party drive
themselves to the wedding and also to the reception. They can rent a limousine
for the entire wedding party and the parents of the bride and groom. They can
also opt to rent a chauffeured Town Car, which is less expensive than renting a
limousine. If one has a small wedding party, then renting one or two of these
types of vehicles might save on the transportation costs. A limousine will be
the most expensive option.
However, if a couple is dead set on having a
limousine, then there are some arrangements that can be made that can help to
lower the cost. For example, a couple can make arrangements with the limousine
company to only pick up and drop off the party. In this case, the driver would
not be required to wait through the entire ceremony. This will allow the couple
to have the limo that they want but at an affordable rate. It is important to
note on that some limousine companies have a minimum fee so even though the
driver will only drop the wedding party up and pick them up, they may still be
charged for a set number of hours, so shop around and find a limousine company
that does not have this policy.
Another option is to have the wedding party
drive themselves to the wedding and have the limousine take them only to the
reception. Arrangements can be made to take the wedding party back to the church
or to the sight of the wedding, where they can pick up their automobiles.
If a couple finds that they are totally strapped
for cash, they may opt for renting one chauffeured Town Car to take the bride
and groom from the wedding to the reception hall, and make the necessary
arrangement to get back to the church or to the honeymoon suite.
With so many arrangements that need to be made
when one is planning a wedding, wedding transportation need not be something
that stresses a couple out. If is affordable to rent a limousine to chauffeur
the entire wedding party to and fro, then by all means do that, especially since
it is the most convenient option. However, if a couple cannot afford this, than
a chauffeured Town Car just for the bride and groom, might be a better option.
The most important part of the wedding is that two individuals are coming
together to start their lives together and the couple should not get bogged down
on trivial issues such as transportation.
