T

he bridal shower is an opportunity for the bride to celebrate her upcoming nuptials with her family and friends. Bridal shower games, make this time much more festive and fun as well as provide an opportunity for the bride bring together both old and new friends. The very  best games to play at a bridal shower are those that help to break the ice and force interaction and conversation. In this article we will discuss some fun, bridal shower games.

The first game is called “the first time.” This is a game where everyone share stories about their first kiss. The bride should start off first, sharing the story of her and the future groom’s first kiss. Next, allow every guest in the room to share their own first kiss stories. The next game is called “pass the bouquet” and this game is similar to musical chairs and hot potato. To begin, the bride should put on a CD filled with love music. Someone should be standing by the music player and should stop it every so often. The person who has the bouquet when the music stops, sits down and is out of the game. The last person standing, wins. The last game involves making up the bride.  The bridal shower host picks several volunteers. Each volunteer is blindfolded and takes turns putting make up on the bride. No eye pencils, as we don’t want any accidents. But lipstick, lip glosses, blush and eye shadows are just fine. After the bride is made up, each guest takes turns taking pictures with her. These pictures will be memorable and hilarious and are a great way to celebrate the occasion.

The last game is not actually a game, but would more accurately me classified as an activity. The bridal host will need to rent a helium tank. Each guest needs to take a sheet of paper write down a special memory, promise or words of encouragement to the bride. After everyone is finished writing, the bride should read all of the well wishes out loud. When this has been done, each guest needs to fold up their sheets of paper and place them in the un-inflated balloons. They should then secure the balloons with a piece of string. Everyone needs to go outside and let the balloons, filled with the well wishes, go into the sky. This beautiful, and touching ceremony be remembered by both the soon-to-be bride and her guests forever.

A bridal shower is a great time for the family and friends of the bride to get together and celebrate the upcoming occasion. Bridal shower games allows the guests to feel apart of this very important occasion and to support the bride and help her celebrate.
